NOTES FROM ALL OVER!

- Members -and visitors as well-, should be happy to know that we have had a great season.... nothing beats a nicely kept challenging golf course with caring members. I see many of our members, over and over, fixing ball marks or sanding divots during their round. Believe it or not, this little kindness goes a long way to show the pride many have in our golf course. In fact, one of the things the board is considering is how to make sand bottles and sand available to all without increasing our costs too much. My money is on that many members will help and cooperate, all of which will make our course that much better.

- Anya has qualified for the finals of the LPGA "Q-School" that will be played i early December in Daytona. Play well young lady and we'll see you on TV!!

- Meet and welcome Brad Dalke. The 16 year old, originally from McKinney, TX, has committed to play at the University of Oklahoma since he was 13 years old. Brad is currently ranked 3rd in the nation among juniors and recently won an AJAGA tournament in Karsten Creek... who won that tournament as well?... none other than Jordan Spieth!

Brad moved to Hobart, OK where his dad, an OU graduate and friend of Kelly Smith, one of our members, is the football coach. Brad will be visiting Elk City often as guest of Mr. Smith. If you see him around.... try to play with him! (we'll get a more current picture next time he is around!)

- Elk City Golf & C.C. is hosting a Comedy Show tonight! Morgan Preston will be doing 50 comedy shows in 50 states in 50 days! Our club was his choice for the Oklahoma tour destination! If you are interested in the remaining of his tour. Cost of dinner and show is $20 per person.

- Who says seniors do not do fun things?  Here, four of them who can teach us a thing or two, hit a tee shot in unison just for the fun of it... Kenny Schuelein, Bob Griffith, Don Andrews and Bob Miller. I had a great day with them!  (Bob Griffith -75, and Don Andrews - 81, often shoot their age or better!)

- Even though September to November is the greatest weather to play in while in Elk City, Football takes the number one spot among most of our members and rounds drop dramatically. The Sunday Shuffle will continue to be played. New starting hours begin at 11:30. Call with your group!

- Seen around the course.. just riding around and checking the remodeling of Anna Redaeli's house behind hole #4: Brad and Vera Gilbert! We wish Brad a prompt recovery from yet, another needed knee surgery after the first one caused an infection!

- Sixomes will be allowed, only when course is not busy, starting November 3rd. Saturdays and Sundays, when weather forecast is nice, please call for reservations as sixsomes will be limited. All sixsomes are required to let EVERY faster group to go through.

- As the past two years, the pro-shop will be offering Holiday Specials starting Monday, November 4th. Our Holiday line of Titleist golf balls, imprinted or not, will have its own specials starting November 24th! Will keep you posted!

- As part of the information services, we always post a few pictures here, and in facebook. However, since not everyone is in facebook, we are looking for sites that can hold public photo albums in order to share pics with everyone. Suggestions welcome by emailing at elkcitygolf@live.com
