A WORKING MAN'S PARTY...

The annual Oilman's Tournament is one of those tournaments that is more of a gathering of friends, with a tournament on the side. Plus, practically no one leaves without a present.... on top of the goody bag that ALL players receive at registration.

Andy Blankenship, Ricky Marr and James Atkinson, who run the tournament, get great help from Barber-Dyson Ford and Plains National Bank, along with Terry's Furniture and many of the oil companies who send additional gifts and food... GREAT FOOD.

It is not far off to say that the door prizes alone are valued at over $20,000 easy, a couple of dozen golf bags, Yeti coolers, large TV's (this time it was 6 of those), grills, high dollar drivers, putters and wedges, and full sets of clubs, and the smallest prize is a $60 dozen golf balls. 144 players, and at least 100 walk off with a gift on top of any winnings they may have earned.

Almost an ace on #10!!
"Nice putt buddy!"
Holes #'s 5 and #17 there had an additional incentive of a Ford for a hole in one, and Joe Ray Schones "almost" drove away in one of those as his ball lipped out on #17, rolling just a few inches past, right behind the hole... Joe, $40 down and we'll show you a little on how to read breaks a little better!

After all scores are posted, the field is divided into 4 flights (A,B,C, D), and here are the results:
