2014 JUNIOR CAMP COMES TO AN END...

are around!

The 2014 Elk City Golf & C.C.'s Annual Junior Camp (June 16-19) came to an end with a series of skill challenges and contests. We had kids as young as 4 years old and as "old" as 15, and I will admit that while it was a challenge for all of us who taught the kids, it was a lot of fun. If the kids had as much fun as we did, we'll be happy; but we will be happier if the kids learned as much as they had fun!

The junior program in Elk City, does not end with the last day of golf camp, starting next Thursday, we have free lessons every other Thursday at 6:00 p.m. for our kids, so, see you there!

The skill challenges included putting, Pitching-Chipping and Driving, including a new "twist" that included "yards per pound", to see which kid(s) are "longer pound per pound"; the winners were Kyler Galmor in the boys with 3.1 yards per pound, and Adison Carnes with 2.3 yards per pound.
